A Fine Pair of Platters by Paul Storr. London 1838. The reeded border applied with trailing lily pad decoration. The undersides fully hall marked and also stamped, STORR & MORTIMER 371. Diam: 10.7ins. Weight: 43ozs. Engraved with the crest of a Dragon above a Coronet and gothic B: probably that of Butterfield. Light knife marks to surface. This is acceptable and should not be buffed out.
