An extremely rare novelty Watering
Can Vinaigrette with 3 grills, London 1869 by Thomas Smily.
The hinged top lifts to reveal the first grill pierced with
flowers. This grill lifts to reveal a second grill, similarly
pierced, fixed half way down the can.This second grill will
allow fragrance to travel down the spout to the third grill,
the pierced rose. The rose unscrews. The top is engraved with
initials within a belt surround. Fully hallmarked on can,
makers mark, lion passant & date letter on lid, maker's
mark on grill. Height: 5.5cms. Width: 8.3cms. Weight: 50gms.
